While we often focus on figures like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates as the lone geniuses behind wildly successful companies, the truth is their skills were bolstered by the teams of talented people working for them. Gates himself has said that creativity is less of an individual characteristic than it is an "emergent property" that surfaces when people convene around a problem.
