Video Game Addiction: How Much Is Too Much?
In our top story this week, Tyler tells us about a problem facing teens today: video game addiction. We meet Bobby, who in junior high played video games all day and only stopped to eat. His mom feared that he had become addicted, and as author and expert Kevin Roberts tells us, it is very possible since it happened to him. Roberts says there are 3 signs to look out for: having emotional outbursts, stopping other activities, and losing sleep in order to play late into the night. The first thing to do is set personal limits on how much you play. But if you find that you just can’t put those controllers down, it might be time to seek professional help because the reason behind the addiction may be more serious than you think.
